First Night: A Whole New Whole New World?
[Action- Locked to Beast and Belle]
[The bed seems off somehow. It's dark, but somehow the feel of it is off.
His hand stretches out and brushes against something furry. Abu must have fallen asleep on his bed again. He quickly pulls his hand back to avoid waking him, then pushes himself up off the bed. This is definitely not his bed.
He tries to crawl out of the bed... and his hand hits warm fur. A lot of it. Attached to something... big.
Very, very big.
So, he, being the stalwart hero he is, does what any brave, calm, resolute hero does. He yelps and jumps out of that bed like it was on fire.]
[Action]
[Later in the day, Aladdin can be found wandering around the village, staring in awe at everything he finds and generally looking as much like a new feather as one possibly can. Feel free to chat, or if you're feeling more malicious, feel free to test your deviousness.
Alternatively, there is a certain tiny thieving monkey running around, and Aladdin hasn't been united with him juuuuust yet. He may or may not grab anything shiny.]

[Spock quirked an eyebrow... he had a feeling that this man somehow knew the creature that stole from him, but he kept that to himself for now.]
It stole my starfleet badge, a small silver pendant that hold the symbol of my work.
no subject
"Alright. Well, then let's see if we can find your furry little thief. And maybe you can show me around in the process."
[Yes. Polite. Friendly. Not suspicious. Good.]
no subject
Spock inclines his head.]
Very well. How have you adjusted to Luceti so far? I have seen various reactions, though I must admit, you are handling it rather well.
[See these pointed ears? They are not decoration.]
no subject
[Don't worry, Spock. After encountering an eight-foot hulking feral chimera, pointy ears and weird eyebrows barely register on his weirdness radar.
Besides, he met weirder back home from time to time.]
no subject
[Spock wondered though... big furry guy? There were very few that fit that classification...
...and really only one.
Fascinating.]
What technologies are you accustomed to in your own universe?
[BIG questions.]
no subject
[As to the second question, he's actually a bit... embarrassed.]
"The world I come from doesn't have nearly as much technology, compared to here. I guess you'd think we were pretty outdated."
no subject
[Spock does this in his most assuring voice... but it's still pretty bland and neutral.]
no subject
[He almost said 'us poor people.' But that didn't really apply to him anymore, now did it?]
no subject
Agrabah? Sultan? This young man must be very far removed from his time.]
That is fortunate. Tell me more of your home, I find that I am curious...
[Indeed, Aladdin has sparked Spock's curiosity.]

[Steal]
"Buy and trade for. So it's not so hard living there. Oh, and there's a lot of magic, too. It's kind of funny, I never used to notice it but now it seems like magic is popping up all over the city all the time."
no subject
Are you yourself a magic user?
no subject
no subject
...surprised.]
I see. Nothing of that nature exists in my universe. Though I am certain that you will find many of those who are comfortable with magic in Luceti.
[Did Spock just imply that he was uncomfortable with it? Maybe.]
no subject
[After a moment, he realized that thought almost seems strange to him now.]
"So... what's it like? Where you're from?"
no subject
However, the simplest way is to understand who I am. I am Commander Spock, serving aboard the Starship Enterprise. It is an constellation class exploration vessel that has the capacity to travel at speeds faster than light.
[Spock looks at Aladdin... did you catch any of that?]
no subject
[That's even possible?
Of course, he's reminded once again of Genie. Genie had done such things before, but Genie was... a special case. Aladdin had never realized just how many of the things Genie did were possible to normal humans.]
"And a... Commander. Are you a soldier?"
no subject
I am an explorer... The federation is not a military operation, but it does its fair amount of peacekeeping which does entail the occasional military engagement.
no subject
[He laughs.]
"Sorry, it doesn't seem like a big difference when the highest I've ever gone is on a flying carpet."
no subject
Flying carpet?
[Usually he doesn't ask for repetition, because he has superior hearing, but in this instance he wanted to make certain that Aladdin knew what he was saying.]
no subject
[Aladdin has no idea how disturbing this must sound to Spock.
But his mun does. And he loves it. Mwahahahaha.]no subject
You maintain a friendship with this flying carpet?
[Yup, you might have broken Spock's brain.]
no subject
[He was astonishingly brave for a carpet.
As for the gender... he was taking Genie's word for that one. He figured Genie would know.]
no subject
[Flying carpets eh? That was a new one on Spock.]
There is nothing like that here though, at least, not that I am aware.
[Did Traveler count? But he wasn't here anymore. Carpet and Traveler probably would have been best friends.
The Vulcan looks through the trees, hoping to spot the furry creature that stole his badge.]
