First Night: A Whole New Whole New World?
[Action- Locked to Beast and Belle]
[The bed seems off somehow. It's dark, but somehow the feel of it is off.
His hand stretches out and brushes against something furry. Abu must have fallen asleep on his bed again. He quickly pulls his hand back to avoid waking him, then pushes himself up off the bed. This is definitely not his bed.
He tries to crawl out of the bed... and his hand hits warm fur. A lot of it. Attached to something... big.
Very, very big.
So, he, being the stalwart hero he is, does what any brave, calm, resolute hero does. He yelps and jumps out of that bed like it was on fire.]
[Action]
[Later in the day, Aladdin can be found wandering around the village, staring in awe at everything he finds and generally looking as much like a new feather as one possibly can. Feel free to chat, or if you're feeling more malicious, feel free to test your deviousness.
Alternatively, there is a certain tiny thieving monkey running around, and Aladdin hasn't been united with him juuuuust yet. He may or may not grab anything shiny.]

action
Yes -- a certain thieving monkey just stole Jack Sparrow's beloved hat. And a certain Jack Sparrow is certainly not happy about that.
Re: action
Aladdin barely has time to look toward the source of the voice before a tiny form and a great fancy hat go zipping by at top speed.]
"Abu?"
[But before Aladdin can try and catch up to his furry compatriot, he manages to turn directly into the path of one hatless pirate.]
/FORCES PROSE ON YOU
That is hatless pirate language for GET OUT OF MY WAY, LAD. MONKEY.
NO YOU CAN'T MAKE ME oh okay.
"What- WAIT."
And quickly he joins the chase- not for the hat, but for the monkey he hopes is underneath it.
/ALWAYS WINS
When Jack chases monkeys, he chases monkeys. He's prepared to climb trees, dive under wheelbarrows, wade through fountains, run along the railing of a bridge -- anything to get ahold of that monkey and GET HIS HAT BACK.
He is mostly ignoring Aladdin at this point.
ONLY BECAUSE I LET YOU.
The monkey shows no signs of stopping, even at Aladdin's voice. It does, however, begin climbing up the side of a community building. Along a gutter drain that can't possibly support a human's weight. Safely atop his perch, the monkey peers down from beneath the hat- and sure enough, it is Abu.
"Abu! Get back down here!"
The monkey only chitters in agitated response.

He glances up at Abu, who seems to be enjoying the advantage of the high ground quite unabashedly.
"Abu, come down and give him his hat back!"
Chitter chitter squeak. And the monkey climbs higher.
"... Give me a sec."

"Buddy, you'd be surprised what I can do."
And then he starts climbing.

... Windowsills. Yes. He manages to swing himself over toward the nearby window, his toes barely finding purchase on the small ledge, and he begins carefully pulling himself up toward the next one, using every crack and uneven spot in the wall to help his climb toward the tiny monkey and his ill-gotten, ill-fitting hat.
It was slow going, but Aladdin was definitely making his way to the top of the building. Which is probably why Abu decided to jump down, using Aladdin's head as a springboard before hitting the ground and tearing off toward the forest. Aladdin nearly lost his balance, but managed to grip the less-than-stable-gutter and pull himself upright again.
"Abu!"

[Okay, he's not entirely sure what 'shooting' is, except for vague memories of Genie, but it seems like a bad thing.]
"Don't hurt him. I'll get the hat back, I promise."
no subject
"Sorry. I want to hurt him very much."

[Aladdin doesn't even know what that thing is, but he's not about to let it get at Abu. He dives at the gun, trying to wrestle it from Jack's grip.
Abu, meanwhile, seems to have taken the comment about wanting to hurt it a bit personally. Tossing Jack's hat aside, he scurries back toward the pair, oblivious to what Jack's pistol could do to him.]
When Yon's alarmed, he switches to HTML-y stuff.
Jack tries to wrestle right back. Wrestling is REALLY not his thing, what with the weird close contact and touching and all, but there is really no choice here. It's his gun and there's a monkey to shoot.
No, just when he's not paying attention. HERP DERP
And he still doesn't know what shooting is. But he'll have NONE OF IT.
moves a lot faster
Now moving far faster without the burden of the hat, Abu wastes no time in returning to the struggling pair, and he leaps onto Jack's leg.
OH STAHP
And then much leg shaking and stomping commenced, which was a handy distraction from the wrestling.

Aladdin, meanwhile, is still trying to wrest the pistol from the pirate's grasp. Unfamiliar with the mechanics of a pistol, and having in fact never so much as laid eyes on one before, he has no idea how to handle a gun safely, but he's still trying, bless his heart.

He's not sure how this 'pistol' could kill somebody- it looks so small- but now he's determined not to let Jack use it, so he refuses to loosen his grip
And that's when Abu pulls Jack's bandana down over his eyes and jumps off his back.

But that gunshot scared the crap out of him.
Cue one thief and his monkey companion, jumping back startled and falling flat on their butts.
"What was that?"
His voice is a little louder than he realizes. The shot's still ringing in his ears.
